In a recent incident that unfolded at our store, our dedicated in-house security staff once again demonstrated their exceptional skills and training, proving why they are an invaluable asset to our establishment. This heartwarming story showcases the importance of having well-prepared individuals on hand to handle emergencies, particularly medical situations.
It all began when a child started to choke, causing panic among the onlookers who had quickly gathered around. Our vigilant security staff, strategically positioned throughout our premises, were swift to respond. Trained in First Aid, they immediately rushed to the scene, equipped with the knowledge to address the situation.
our staff quickly determined that the child’s airway was likely obstructed. Without hesitation, they initiated the necessary measures, performing the Heimlich Maneuver. However, the obstruction persisted, and the child’s condition began to deteriorate rapidly.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, one of our security staff members, Mr. David, swiftly retrieved the Willnice choking emergency device.
Mr. David placed the device over the child’s nose and mouth, pushed it down, and then pulled it up to create negative pressure by manipulating the handle. The device worked its magic, dislodging the obstructing object and allowing the child to breathe once again. As the child coughed and regained consciousness, our staff carefully removed the remaining food particles from their mouth.
We are delighted to report that the child has made a full recovery, devoid of any complications. This incident serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of swift action and the significance of having trained individuals and life-saving devices readily available.
